Scenario
After 20 years, Odysseus finally returns to Ithaca, where he finds his wife held prisoner by suitors vying for the throne and his son facing death at his hands. To win back his family and everything he has lost, Odysseus must rediscover his strength. This is the third time that Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche have starred in a film together.
Odysseus: For some, war becomes their home
Penelope: How can men find their way to war, but not their way home? First of all, it is a small part of the story of the Odyssey, that is why it is called “the return”. What I liked the most is that there is no CGI and stupid computer scenes like we used to see in most Hollywood films.
All the scenes are natural
Juliet Binos and Reif Fines are wonderful in the reels. The view of the surrounding places, the sea and everything around are natural. Okay…
Maybe the story could be a little longer
The palace is old and royal and very beautiful. The Greek island is Corfu, where they made the movie. First time I saw a movie with a very small budget, but it’s actually very good.
